Seven Education acquires DigiOnline GmbH and further expands its presence in the German education market

With this acquisition, Seven Education (formerly Sdui Group) is expanding its presence in its core market of Germany. DigiOnline brings with it an established customer base and expertise in the field of digital administration and organisational solutions for educational institutions.
Koblenz, 06/03/2026 – Seven Education (formerly Sdui Group) acquired DigiOnline GmbH on 27 February. The company is one of the established providers of administrative and organisational solutions for educational institutions in the compulsory school sector and adult education in Germany. The acquisition strengthens Seven Education's position as a central platform for schools and public institutions in its core market of Germany. It also gives the company access to a long-standing customer base at state and municipal level.
DigiOnline supports educational institutions with digital solutions for organising and managing school processes. In addition to centralised user identity management, the proven WebWeaver Framework forms the technical basis for a wide range of product functions – whether classic learning management systems, daily collaboration or communication.
The acquisition secures DigiOnline's long-term development as part of a leading brand in the European education market. This benefits the company's customers, partners and employees alike. DigiOnline will thus have access to expanded resources, a larger network for professional exchange and additional development opportunities for employees within the group. DigiOnline's established customer base, coupled with Seven Education's scalable platform and AI solutions, opens up new potential for joint product development and complementary offerings within the existing portfolio.
For Seven Education, the acquisition represents a further step in expanding its presence in the German education sector. DigiOnline brings in-depth market expertise and established relationships with public institutions and educational providers to the company.
‘With the acquisition of DigiOnline, we are strengthening our position as a leading platform partner for educational institutions in our core market of Germany,’ says Daniel Zacharias, CEO of Seven Education. ‘At the same time, we are expanding our customer base with established and loyal partners, thereby further deepening our customer portfolio. We look forward to developing these partnerships in the long term and jointly tapping into new potential in the German education market.’
‘In Seven Education, we have found the right partner to secure the future of DigiOnline in the long term,’ adds Werner Grafenhain, Managing Director of DigiOnline GmbH. ‘As part of a growing European EdTech company, we are creating a clear succession plan and ensuring stability and continuity for our customers, partners and employees. At the same time, integration into the group opens up access to shared resources, an expanded network for knowledge exchange and additional development prospects.’
The existing management team will remain on board for a transitional period to ensure continuity for customers and employees. The integration will take place gradually in order to maintain proven structures while at the same time exploiting synergies in a targeted manner.
