October 2026 #1
This release brings more control and more cantonal coverage: school admins can now decide who may record voice memos in Sdui, and schools in Aargau and Schwyz get new tools for promotion decisions, assessments and kindergarten observation. On top of that, school authorities gain school unit level statistics across multiple buildings, and music schools benefit from faster billing reports and correctly displayed PDFs. Several fixes in case management and absence handling round off the release.

Restrict Voice Memo Recording per Role and Group Chat
What’s new
School admins can now restrict voice memo recording by user role under “Send voice memos” in the role permissions. Channel admins can turn off voice memo recording for individual group chats in the chat settings. In both cases, the recording button is hidden for affected users, but existing voice memos stay fully playable. Group chat changes are announced with a system message, so members always know what changed. The feature is active by default, so admins need to restrict it manually.
Why this matters
Admins decide who can record voice memos, by role or by group chat. That gives schools more control over how chats are used.

Noten & Zeugnisse - New Category “Anspruchsvolles Lernziel” (Canton Schwyz)
What’s new
Evaluations with learning objectives in Canton Schwyz now offer the category “Anspruchsvolles Lernziel” (aLZ). All three levels of demand from the cantonal assessment regulation are now available: basic, extended and demanding.
Why this matters
Teachers can classify learning objectives across all three levels of demand, so higher expectations are visible in every evaluation.
Schulalltag/LPs - Interdisciplinary Evaluation: Interim Report with Results (Canton Schwyz)
What’s new
The interim report for Canton Schwyz can now be printed in the ALSV module, including the actual assessment results.
Why this matters
Teachers get a ready-to-hand-out interim report with real assessment data instead of an empty template. That saves manual work and reduces errors.
Schulalltag/LPs - Absence: Confirmation Error for Absences Over 4 Lessons Fixed (Canton Aargau)
What’s new
In schools where the counting unit differs between daily life and the certificate, absences with a limited reason could not be confirmed or edited once they exceeded 4 lessons. This is now fixed. Absences can be confirmed and edited up to the total limit configured for the absence reason.
Why this matters
Teachers and administrators can manage longer absences without being blocked, and the configured limits apply as intended.
Schulalltag/LPs - Interdisciplinary Evaluation: New Assessment Form “Entwicklungsorientierte Zugänge” (Canton Schwyz)
What’s new
All kindergarten classes (1st and 2nd kindergarten year) in Canton Schwyz now have access to the “Entwicklungsorientierte Zugänge” assessment form, including the matching aspects and observation points. Assessment plannings for the current school year were created automatically for all affected classes.
Why this matters
Kindergarten teachers can start observing and documenting right away. There is no setup needed, and the form follows the cantonal requirements from day one.
Master Data - Statistics at School Unit Level
What’s new
Statistics in Master Data (assign students to classes) now support evaluations across multiple school buildings at the school unit level.
The PDFs for school building, grade level and year group use a new layout with headings, subtotals and a grand total.
A new school building Excel file includes a “School Unit” column.
Tabs in all Excel statistics are now sorted alphabetically.
Why this matters
School authorities no longer need to aggregate pupil statistics, class occupancies and gender distributions across buildings by hand. They get fast, reliable figures at school unit level, for example for school space planning.
Musikschule - Faster Reports in “Rechnungsdaten erfassen”
What’s new
Reports triggered via the “Drucken” button in “Rechnungsdaten erfassen” are now generated faster, including for schools with large data volumes. Timeouts occur less often. Layout and content of the reports stay the same.
Why this matters
Schools with large billing data sets can generate their billing reports more reliably and wait less.
Musikschule - PDF Preview: Titles with “/” Now Display Correctly
What’s new
PDFs are previewed in the browser before download. Documents with a slash in the title (for example the semester “2026/27”) could not be displayed. PDFs with such titles now display correctly and can be downloaded.
Why this matters
Documents named after a semester or school year open as expected, so users no longer need workarounds.
Schulverwaltung - Case Management: Dossier Name Based on Current Semester and Class
What’s new
The name of a dossier with recipient “Klasse” (Class) is now built from the school year of the current semester and the current class shown in the dossier overview, for example “27/28 - KK4 Schule Ost”. If these fields are not set, the semester and class at creation are used as before.
Why this matters
Administrators see at a glance which semester and class a dossier currently belongs to, without opening it.
Schulverwaltung - Case Management: Duplicate Check Now Considers the Semester
What’s new
When you create a dossier with recipient “Klasse” (Class), the hint about an already existing dossier now takes the semester at creation into account, not just the class. The hint no longer appears incorrectly when the same class is entered for a different semester or school year.
Why this matters
Administrators no longer get false duplicate warnings for classes that return every school year with new students. That means fewer interruptions when creating dossiers.
Schulverwaltung - Professional Mandate: Return to Overview Fixed (Canton Sankt Gallen)
What’s new
Returning from the contract view to the overview in the professional mandate caused an unexpected error. This is now fixed.
Why this matters
Users can move between the contract view and the overview without errors or interruptions.
Noten & Zeugnisse - New Promotion Overview (Canton Aargau)
What’s new
Schools in Canton Aargau now have all their class promotion calculations in one place: the new Promotion Overview.
It shows all subjects that count towards the promotion rules.
The calculated columns have moved from “Additional certificate data” to the Promotion Overview.
Schools can use the view to display individual promotion calculations. Users with access can define new rules in the configuration view.
The export is now part of the Promotion Overview and no longer part of the “Certificate class overview”.
Why this matters
Promotion calculations, rules and export now sit in one view instead of being spread across several places. That makes promotion decisions easier to review and manage.
