August 2026 #2

This release brings a strong focus on cantonal compliance and administrative efficiency across Pupil and Additio. Canton Aargau schools benefit from an updated, official teacher role list, an expanded catalogue of support types, a new SSG protocol template, and an accurate Zwischenbericht PDF export. Zurich schools gain access to cantonal MAB and SSG assessment templates directly within PUPIL, while canton SG administrations can now export their employee pool report as a ready-to-use Excel file. Case management, parent meeting scheduling, and inventory tracking all received usability improvements, from smarter filters to clearer slot visibility and extended room and device data. On the Additio side, teachers working with Educamos can now select report periods and print directly from the gradebook, streamlining their reporting workflow.

Master Data - Cantonal Templates for Zurich (MAB & SSG)

What's new?
For Canton Zurich, the employee assessment documents (assessment document, in-depth assessment, goal agreement) for teachers, school leadership, and special education professionals are now available under "Cantonal Templates." In addition, the SSG "Understanding and Planning" forms (preparation and protocol) have been added for basic level, kindergarten, and primary/secondary levels.

Why this matters?
Teachers in canton Aargau can use the official SSG-Protokoll form within PUPIL, without needing an external template.

Master Data - Document Management: SSG Protocol (Canton Aargau)

What's new?
Schools in canton Aargau now have access to the "SSG-Protokoll" template under Templates → Cantonal Templates → "4 - Everyday School Life." Teachers can use it directly to document the SSG support conference (Standortgespräch).

Why this matters?
Zurich schools no longer need to manually recreate cantonal assessment and meeting forms outside PUPIL, reducing administrative overhead and ensuring compliance with canton-specific documentation requirements for staff evaluations and special-needs parent meetings.

School Life / Teachers – Grades & Report Cards - Certificate: Interim Report Print Output (Canton Aargau)

What's new?
The interim report (Zwischenbericht) for Canton Aargau can now be printed as a complete PDF directly from the certificate class view. Self-competency, social-competency, and subject-competency ratings are correctly displayed across both pages, including the signature block, matching the official reference layout.

Why this matters?
Schools in Aargau can now print a fully accurate Zwischenbericht PDF straight from the certificate class view, matching the official layout.

School Life / Teachers - Support Planner: Type of Support Entries Adjusted (Canton Aargau)

What's new?
Schools in Canton Aargau now have an extended set of "Type of Support" entries available in the Support Planner. 9 new entries were added (including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Occupational Therapy, Tutoring, and Reinforced Measures), and the existing "Förderplanung" entry was renamed to "Heilpädagogische Förderung" (Special-Needs Support). Existing support goals remain linked to their entry without any data loss.

Why this matters?
AG schools can now assign support goals using the full canton-mandated catalogue of support types, without any disruption to existing data.

School Life / Teachers - Interdisciplinary Evaluation: Bar Chart Instead of Boxplot for ISKO Distribution

What's new?
The distribution of ISKO entries is now displayed as a bar chart instead of a boxplot, which failed to correctly represent the frequency of individual entries. The number of bars matches the respective scale (4 or 5 levels), and the display direction follows the cantonal configuration.

Why this matters?
Teachers get a clearer, more accurate picture of how often a behavior actually occurred, rather than a misleading statistical summary that could obscure frequent minor issues.

School Life / Teachers - Parent Meetings: Number of Available Slots in the Assignment View

What's new?
The assignment view now displays a "Number of free slots" ("Anzahl freie Termine") column, showing the number of remaining available time slots per person. This column is sortable, allowing teachers to prioritize assignment for parents with fewer available options.

Why this matters?
Teachers can quickly spot and prioritize parents with the least flexibility, reducing scheduling conflicts and back-and-forth communication.

School Life / Teachers - Parent Meetings: Copy Appointments to Following Weeks

What's new?
The planning view now includes a "Copy appointments to the following weeks" ("Termine in die folgenden Wochen kopieren") button, allowing all appointments planned for the current week to be copied across the following week of the meeting series.

Why this matters?
Teachers setting up recurring meeting slots no longer need to recreate the same time structure week after week, saving significant setup time for multi-week meeting series.

School Life / Teachers - Support Planner: New Teacher Roles (Canton Aargau)

What's new?
The Support Planner now shows the 10 official teacher roles for canton Aargau in the correct order. Unused legacy roles were removed; roles already assigned to existing dossiers remain unchanged.

Why this matters?
Canton Aargau schools now see the correct, official teacher role list in the Support Planner — with no impact on existing dossier data.

School Administration - Canton SG: Employee Pool Report Export

What's new?
School administrations in canton SG can now export the employee pool report (Personalpool-Berechnungsblatt) directly from PUPIL as an Excel file. Key figures such as student counts, number of classes, and workload are automatically populated from PUPIL data, removing the need to compile them manually in Excel. The file matches the canton's required template exactly and remains fully editable, including formulas.

Why this matters?
Saves canton SG school administrations the annual manual effort of compiling the Personalpool report, reduces the risk of transcription errors, and ensures the submitted figures always match the school's live PUPIL data.

School Administration - Case Management: New School Filter in the Dossier Overview

What's new?
The dossier overview has been restructured: a filter button now expands additional filters, including the newly added multi-select school filter and the relocated service recipient filter. Social workers active across multiple schools can now find their dossiers more quickly.

Why this matters?
Staff working across several schools can narrow down dossiers instantly instead of scrolling through unrelated entries, saving time on a task performed daily.

School Administration - Case Management: Nested School Filter in the Evaluation View

What's new?
The school filter in the "Evaluation" ("Auswertung") view now displays schools grouped under their respective school units. Administrators can select an entire school unit at once, without needing to know or select each belonging school individually — selecting an individual school remains possible as before.

Why this matters?
Administrators overseeing multiple school units can generate evaluations faster and with fewer clicks, especially in larger school communities with many individual schools.

School Administration - Case Management: Permission Filter Defaults to "Author"

What's new?
The permission filter is now pre-filled with the value "Author" ("Autor") by default. This means the logged-in user directly sees the dossiers relevant to them, while dossiers they are not responsible for are hidden. Resetting the filter still allows all assigned dossiers to be displayed.

Why this matters?
Users land on a focused, relevant dossier list by default, while retaining full visibility into all assigned dossiers whenever they need it.

School Administration - Inventory: Extended Room Information

What's new?
Rooms can now be assigned a technical room number, allowing them to be identified by their technical designation in addition to their name. In addition, the room dialog now includes a new "Extended Data" ("Erweiterte Daten") tab where room size and floor type can be entered. All three fields are optional and are also included in the Excel export of rooms.

Why this matters?
Facility managers can maintain detailed technical room documentation directly in PUPIL, without needing a separate system for room attributes.

School Administration - Inventory: Product Line Field

What's new?
Devices can now be assigned a product line in the "Extended Data" ("Erweiterte Daten") tab. The field is optional and enables clearer categorization of equipment inventory.

Why this matters?
Administrators managing larger equipment inventories can group and filter devices by product line, making inventory organization and maintenance easier.

School Administration - Inventory: Additional Details Visible Directly in the Inventory List

What's new?
The inventory list now shows the product line, supplier, and purchase year in parentheses after the name, whenever this information is available — for example, "Chromebook (Lenovo, Digitec, 2023)." Missing fields are automatically omitted.

Why this matters?
Administrators can identify key equipment details at a glance in the list view, without needing to open each item's detail page.

Additio App

Learning Reports - Period Selector When Printing the Educamos Report

What's new?
Once this integration is activated, when printing the Educamos report from Additio App, a window opens to select the period before generating the document. This lets you choose exactly the period you want included in the report every time you print it, instead of relying on a default value.

Why this matters?
Teachers using the Educamos integration can now choose the exact period before printing their report, giving them full control over what data appears instead of relying on a default value.

Learning Reports - Print Educamos Reports from the Gradebook

What's new?
Once this integration is activated, schools working with Educamos can now generate their official reports without leaving Additio App. In the gradebook's options menu, alongside actions like taking attendance or viewing a student's file, we've added a new "Print" option that calls Educamos directly to generate the corresponding report. With this change, teachers save time and no longer need to log into Educamos separately: the entire report generation flow is now built into the Additio gradebook screen. Available on web.

Why this matters?
Teachers at schools that work with Educamos can now generate their official reports directly from Additio's gradebook, without switching platforms or logging in separately — saving time and keeping their workflow in one place.

Competency Assessment - Loading Indicator When Saving Standards and Skills

What's new?
Once this integration is activated, saving the standards and skills for a column will show a loading indicator confirming that the change is being saved. This way you'll always know your information has been saved correctly, with no doubt about whether the save has completed.

Why this matters?
Teachers get clear visual confirmation when saving standards and skills for a column, so once this integration is enabled they'll never wonder whether their changes went through.
